Due to work by the city inside the building we will be opening at 1230pm on our Resident's Free Tuesday on May 14th.

Easter

Although rarely associated with aviation, images with Easter as the subject matter have found their way into our collections.

This image from an album that belonged to a donor name Spahr shows an Easter Sunday service in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The image circa 1918 is captioned: "Labeled Two thorns among the Roses - The Rose garden Balboa Park on Easter Sunday - Wish you could have been there too!" and is from the Walter Havekorst Album.

This image from the Permann collection shows two aerial mines...dubbed "Easter Eggs" bound for Hitler's Germany.

And what would Easter be without a Bunnie...her we have the Museum's P-51 Mustang painted in the colors of the Tuskegee Airmen.
