Collections & Assets Coordinator

The Collections & Assets Coordinator works closely with the Museum collection team and is responsible for the overall care of aircraft and displays and the general maintenance of equipment at the Gillespie Field location. The coordinator also works closely with the site manager on daily operational needs to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers, and visitors.

CMS Integration Specialist, IMLS GRANT Project

The Integration Specialist will oversee Phase 3 of an IMLS project to implement a new integrated Collections Management System (CMS) across all Museum collections: curatorial, library, archives, and with the digital asset management system (DAMS). This high-level upgrade will meet the growing needs of our staff and collection records, save time and money by eliminating duplicate workflows, centralize the Museum’s registration process, and create a unified public portal to dramatically increase discoverability and access to our collection.

Guest Experience Representative

Guest Experience Representatives are responsible for providing excellent customer service to museum visitors by answering questions, selling museum admission tickets, Balboa Park Explorer Passes, museum memberships, operating flight simulators, staffing retail store, café, 3D/4D theater, and interpreting exhibits. Duties specific to this position include POS system and credit card terminal operation and daily register accounting and balancing.
