The Registrar works as part of a team with the Curatorial and Library & Archives staff on day-to-day registration duties. They will be responsible for activities including, but not limited to, donor communications, coordinating donation pickup or delivery, database entry of objects, completion of donation or loan forms, conducting object tracking, and assisting the collection staff with other tasks such as inventories, object photography, rehousing, and collection care.
Project Archivist, Rohr Goodrich Collection
The Project Archivist is responsible for indexing and digitizing the Rohr Goodrich still image collection. They reports directly to the Archivist and aids in the organization, maintenance, preservation and inventory of the collection. The project will include indexing and digitization of 80,000 of the negatives upon completion. The Project Archivist will work under limited supervision with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Expected to uphold the highest ethical standards of a professional archivist in maintaining and protecting the Museum's archival collection.
Guest Experience Representative
Guest Experience Representatives are responsible for providing excellent customer service to museum visitors by answering questions, selling museum admission tickets, Balboa Park Explorer Passes, museum memberships, operating flight simulators, staffing retail store, café, 3D/4D theater, and interpreting exhibits. Duties specific to this position include POS system and credit card terminal operation and daily register accounting and balancing.
