Controller

The San Diego Air & Space Museum is seeking a Controller to join our outstanding team. The Controller leads and manages the day-to-day fiscal operations and financial reporting providing timely reports to senior management, the President & CEO, Finance Committee and Board of Directors consistent with generally accepted accounting principles. The Controller also manages the museum’s human resource functions, insurance, and annual audit. In addition, the Controller will provide accounting assistance to the Museum’s for-profit Low-Speed Wind Tunnel (LSWT). This position requires both high-level financial management and hands-on accounting. The Controller will temporarily be the sole full-time accounting staff for the museum. An additional Bookkeeper position is expected to be added within 3 to 9 months as needed. SDASM is seeking a proactive financial professional who understands their role in providing guidance and recommendations regarding all financial decisions for a high-profile nonprofit museum. The Controller will be part of the senior management team and will report directly to the President & CEO.
