Birthday Party Packages

Launch your child's birthday out of this world at the San Diego Air and Space Museum! Parties are designed for children ages 3-12.

Astro-Adventure Package Includes: (Price based on group size, only available at Balboa Park Location)

• Self-guided tour of museum with discounted admission ($12 children, $20 adult) for 20 to 60 guests
• Scavenger Hunt
• Gift for the birthday child
• Birthday group stickers 
• Flexible entry time when museum is open
• Please note: no dedicated space to gather.

**This package does not offer any area or room for presents, food, drinks or cake. There is an area in front of the Museum with tables and umbrellas.

Birthday Blast Off Package Includes: $600

• 2.5 hours of party space in our classroom from  10:30 am-1 pm 
• Choice of locations Balboa Park Museum or Gillespie Field Annex
• Museum admission for 30 guests, plus capacity for 10 more at additional cost ($12/ guest)
• Dedicated birthday party facilitator
• Welcome activity
• Choice of 1 hands-on activity (Alka-Seltzer Rockets, Foam and Balsa Gliders, or Rovers) (Ages 3-5 Space or Flight Stations)
• Guided museum exploration
• 1 reserved parking spot
• Tables and chairs with plastic table cloths.
• Gift for the birthday child (extra birthday child gift $25)

Parent will be responsible for their own paper goods as well as any food, drinks and/or cake. (or see additional add on below)

Super Nova Birthday Package Includes: $850

• 3 hours of party space in our classroom from  10:30 am-1:30 pm 
• Choice of locations Balboa Park Museum or Gillespie Field Annex
• Museum admission for 40 guests
• Dedicated birthday party facilitator
• Welcome activity
• Choice of 1 hands-on activity (Alka-Seltzer Rockets, Foam and Balsa Gliders, or Rovers) (Ages 3-5 Space or Flight Stations)
• Guided museum exploration
• 1 reserved parking spot
• 10% off in gift shop
• Flight Suit
• Ice Cream Cake
• Tables and chairs with cloth table cloths and upgraded decorations.
• Gift for the birthday child (extra birthday child gift $25)

Party packages allow up to 30 guests, counting all children and adults. Up to 10 additional guests are allowed, for a $12 fee per guest (max of 40 guests). 

Birthday parties will need to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. 

Birthdays occuring on holiday weekends (New Years, MLK, President, Easter, Memorial, July 4, Labor, Thanksigiving, or Christmas) will be 25% more to allow for staff holiday pay rate.

Payment must be received within 72 hours of invoice or your reservation will be cancelled.

Birthday party cancellations up to one week prior to the event are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Birthday parties canceled with less than one week’s notice will not be refunded.
