Autograph Collection: Signatures of Fame

The San Diego Air & Space Museum houses a one of kind autograph collection, made up of photos and documents signed by some of the most famous aviators, including Charles Lindbergh, John Glenn, Orville Wright and Eddie Rickenbacker.  Additionally, this collection contains signatures of some of the most famous women in aviation history.

Lillian Boyer was a pioneering daredevil, known for her wing walking stunts and airplane to car jumps.  See the footage below to watch her in action! 

Georgia "Tiny" Broadwick was the first woman to parachute out of an airplane.  This note accompanied photos donated to the Museum.

The Museum holds many autographed photos of Amelia Earhart in the collection.

Florence "Pancho" Barnes was a pioneer aviator, record setter, founder of the Stunt Pilot's Union, and owner of the famed Happy Bottom Riding Club.

Katherine Stinson signed this portrait to Al Menasco, famous for designing and building aircraft engines. She was inducted into the Museum's International Air & Space Hall of Fame in 2000.
