McDonnell Douglas

In 1967 George Akimoto joined McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach and eventually reached the position of the Chief Illustrator, while fulfilling freelance projects for various individuals and organizations.

“LA Weekly” August 22-28 1980 publication announced “McDonnell Douglas Aviation Art” exhibition at Long Beach Museum of Art presenting paintings by George Akimoto among works of more than 200 artists and designers.

George Akimoto paintings were featured in “McDonnell Douglas Spirit” publications.
