Charles “Cap” Pinney graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1964. He served in the Marine Corps, flying over 400 combat missions. After his service, he was a commercial pilot for Western, Aircal and American Airlines. He is also a practicing attorney.
Charles A. Hill served in the Spanish American War and World War I, where he was stationed in France. There he was a commandant of student flying officers and took part in raids until injured in a crash.
Charles H Babb was a man who played a very significant role in the history of Southern California Aviation. The Museum is the honored recipient of papers, patents, and photos from his estate.
Charles Daniels was a member of the 8th Photos Recon Squadron and 82nd Tactical Recon Squadron during World War II. After the War he was a prolific photographer of aircraft. He also collected and described thousands of rare aircraft images.
Charles Augustus Lindbergh (February 4, 1902 – August 26, 1974), was an American aviator, author, inventor, explorer, and social activist. The collection contains information about Charles Lindbergh and people related to him, either through business or family. The majority of the collection regarding any biographical or historical information directly related to Lindbergh and his flight has been arranged by publishing date, starting from 1926, and ending in the 2000s.
