The San Diego Air & Space Museum is in the final stages of restoring an FB-5, the first airplane designed and built specifically for use on an aircraft carrier. The Museum's FB-5 will be one of only four in existence.
San Diego is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and the San Diego Air & Space Museum has an extensive photo archive that not only documents aircraft and the men and women related to aerospace, but also the history of the region.

The Museum’s Tomcat, which was recently featured in the Hollywood blockbuster TOP GUN: Maverick, will be the centerpiece of a lasting monument to the men and women who flew, designed and maintained one of the Navy's most iconic planes.
Undergraduate rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to apply. Application deadline is February 27.
