A special “WINGS OVER SAN DIEGO” event featured aviation-themed activities and fun educational opportunities for families of all ages at the San Diego Air & Space Museum on Monday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During “WINGS OVER SAN DIEGO,” families and visitors met real pilots, constructed their own planes and parachutes, explore Naval Aviation, saw live flight demonstrations by two hawks and a falcon, and learned more about aviators from the natural world.
“WINGS OVER SAN DIEGO” took place in the Museum’s open-air Pavilion of Flight.
“WINGS OVER SAN DIEGO” was included with general admission to the Museum, including the guests who took advantage of the half-price Museum Month vouchers available at more than 75 public libraries throughout San Diego County.
The Museum’s new special exhibition ABOVE AND BEYOND, which explores the future of flight in a family friendly and hands-on exploratory experience, also was included with the price of general admission during one of the busiest Mondays of the year at the Museum.
