The collection holds many other oral histories of very important and famous people involved in aviation. Here is the oral history of Tony Levier, who was the chief test pilot of Lockheed Aircraft based in Burbank, California. He tested some of the most significant aircraft produced in California during the 1950s and 60s.

Another great legend of early aviation is Eddie Rickenbacker, a famous ace during World War One. In this audio recording from 1966, he talks about his exploits, including racing cars before the war.

During the 1920s, many dare devils wowed audiences with daring stunts in the air. These performers, known as Barnstormers, were usually men...but not always. One of the most famous woman stunt fliers was Lilian Boyer. In this oral history, she discusses her exploits. We also have her personal photo collection in our archives.
