Unlimited Stories: Our Internet Archive Holdings Introduction

Besides photos and films, the San Diego Air and Space Museum has digitized thousands of pages of text and drawings.  We use the Internet Archive (Archive.org) to share these items, as this site presents this material in a clear and easy to read format.  Additionally, Archive.org uses optical character recognition (OCR) which allows the content of digitized test documents to be searched. Because of this, the documents on Archive.org are an excellent resource for researchers looking for specific information, such as a family member's name.  This online exhibit highlights some of the types of material that you can find on Archive.org!

Founded in 1996, the Internet Arhivie is a digital library website, that provides free access to digitial material, such as software applications, music, websites, audiovisual, and print material.  One of the most popular features on Archive.org is its "Way Back Machine" which captures much of the public web.
