This collection contains photos from the period 1914-18, showing Spads, Camels, Nieuports, Fokkers and airships.
Louis Gordon was the co-pilot/ mechanic on the 1928 Transatlantic flight of the Fokker F7 "Friendship" which flew from Newfoundland to Wales in 1928. Amelia Earhart was a passenger on this flight and it is remembered as the first air crossing of the Atlantic by a female.
Louis M. Lowry graduated from Parachute Riggers School at Chanute Field at Rantoul, Illinois in 1931. He went on to work for North American Rockwell Corporation from 1943 to 1969.
Louis M. Seeman (b.1888) was trained and taught at the Curtiss School of Aviation in San Diego, CA, until being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant for the U.S. Army Air Service, where he saw service in WWI.
Jespersen served in the Second World War, Korea and Vietnam while in the US Air Force.
