
Get ready to celebrate Space Day 2026 at the San Diego Air & Space Museum—a morning filled with hands-on exploration, expert guests, and out-of-this-world fun. On Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., families can enjoy all of the unique activities which are included with admission the Museum.
NEW THIS YEAR:!The Museum is pleased to off a new special offer: Two children (ages 12 and under) receive free admission with each paid adult to Space Day! Space Day 2026 is also free for Museum Members with valid memberships and Explorer Pass Holders.

At Space Day 2026 you’ll meet and learn from an incredible lineup of space enthusiasts and professionals, including guests from UCSD Astrophysics and Physics, JPL Solar System Ambassador Lyford Rome, and meteorite experts Dr. Nick Gessler and Dr. Candace Kohl. Visitors can also connect with student innovators from the SEDS rocket project and explore interactive experiences from partner organizations like the Fleet Science Center, Children’s Discovery Museum, and Xspace from Baja, Mexico.
Throughout the museum, activity tables will bring space science to life. Favorites like stomp rockets, alien UFOs, and space spinners return, alongside exciting new additions including a moon-themed experience, Ozobot robots, and creative junk droids. There’s something for every young explorer to discover and enjoy!

Planning to attend as a group? Pre-registered groups of 10–20 youth, along with 2 chaperones will receive free admission. Simply register in advance by emailing education@sdasm.org. Don’t miss this exciting celebration of space, science, and community!
