The Development Assistant offers administrative support to the Development Director who is responsible for all monetary and in-kind development efforts for the Museum. The Development Assistant handles a variety of tasks related to institutional and individual giving. Much of the day's work is spent tracking and managing contributions in DonorPerfect, tracking donations and relationships with current and prospective donors, managing all phases of the Museum’s membership program, and researching ways to bring in additional funds through private, family and corporate foundations and direct mail. The Development Assistant also responds to queries from other organizations for museum ticket donations. This is a highly visible position requiring professionalism and extreme attention to detail.
The Facility Engineer provides technical support to the Museum. The successful candidate will be experienced in a wide variety of technical skills including but not limited to, electronics, plumbing and HVAC.
The Guest Experience Manager supports the mission of the San Diego Air & Space Museum by providing oversight of the guest experience at the Museum including admissions, theater, simulators, food-service and other areas as assigned. The position requires a commitment to constant quality improvement of the guest experience. The Manager supervises approximately 20 staff. Responsibilities include managing, training, developing and mentoring staff and interacting with other Museum departments to ensure the best possible guest experience.
The Exhibits Department and Exhibits Team Members provide a key service in maintaining the overall look and experience of the Museum galleries. The Exhibits Maintenance Technician is responsible for light repair to, and maintenance of gallery exhibits as well as supervised assistance in the construction of exhibits for the Museum.
