The Convair Company is arguably one of the most significant and successful aircraft manufacturing companies in the nation. Best known for their military aircraft, Convair played a large role in the history of this country, but they were also on the cutting edge of the space age.

October 17, 2022 - The San Diego Air & Space Museum Remembers Former USAF Brigadier General and Apollo 9 Commander Jim McDivitt

The San Diego Air & Space Museum is remembering Apollo 9 Commander Jim McDivitt, who entered the prestigious International Air & Space Hall of Fame in 2012 along with his entire crew. McDivitt passsed away on Oct. 13, 2022 at the age of 93.
