The San Diego Air & Space Museum’s expert Education team continues to provide a wide range of offerings and experiences throughout the year in support of our mission to preserve, inspire, educate and celebrate aviation and space exploration advancements and achievements and to promote STEM-related career opportunities. Summer Camps
Kids age 4 to 18 join us for a 1 week camp at the San Diego Air & Space Museum. Do you want to launch rockets, fly airplanes, and play with robots? New this year is expanded preschool classes, Spy Academy for middle school students, and an adult camp SPACE Cadets. Returning this year are our favorites, including Astronauts in Training, Top Gun, and Aviation Simulation. Experience all the Museum has to offer in these one-week half-day camps with hands-on science, engineering design projects, and bringing the Museum to life. Little Engineers
Little Engineers returns with Beyond Boundaries spring programming. Every Wednesday from 9 to 10 am preschool children and their caregivers enjoy hands-on activities, science experiments, robots, and aviation and space-themed art. Themes this spring include Seasons, How We Study Space, Biomes and the Human Body. At the end of every session the children gather to hear a story. Fling It To Wing
Come defy gravity by building your own plane and launch system to compete to see whose goes the longest. Win cash prizes. To enter- Find a team (or go solo) and mentor, draw blueprints to submit by March 1, build and test your vehicle, Come to the San Diego Air & Space Museum to compete on April 12. The competition is free and includes admission to the museum on April 12. Parents/Teachers – The Museum will help mentor the process and provide scholarships for supplies.
