A new interactive and fun exhibit exploring the benefits of the San Diego International Airport debuted recently in the Theodore Gildred Rotunda just inside the main entrance to the San Diego Air & Space Museum in beautiful Balboa Park.
Titled “San Diego: Let’s Go”, the exhibit entices visitors to explore the airport’s impact on the San Diego region while also connecting America’s Finest City’s to international airports all over the world.
The exhibit features a Flight Tracker showing all of the arrivals and departures to the airport, as well as sections on Behind the Scenes at the airport, Passenger Safety, a wide range of Support Vehicles, and a in-depth description of the terrific new Terminal 2 Expansion.
The timeline, “From Lindbergh to LEED Platinum,” demonstrates how the San Diego International Airport grew from a small regional airport to the nation’s busiest single runway commercial airport and home to the first LEED-Platinum certified airport in the world.
Make sure set aside some extra time to explore the San Diego International Airport exhibit during your next visit to the San Diego Air & Space Museum.
