The Library & Archives is excited to provide a summary of accomplishments to our patrons, donors, and supporters in this Winter 2024 issue of Researcher News.
The Library & Archives had another highly successful year in 2022 filled with many achievements. We have been assisting researchers, hosting internships, and other special projects. In this issue of Researcher News you will find a summary of these accomplishments and more exciting announcements from the Museum.
The Library & Archives has been busy since fully reopening operations last year. With staff back onsite full time and volunteers returning for select projects, we have been busy with research requests, collection care duties, processing donations, and continuing to provide the Museum and the public with world class access to our rare collection.
We are excited to provide a summary of our accomplishments for fiscal year 2021 (July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021) for our Library & Archives (L&A) patrons, donors, and supporters. The beginning of a new fiscal year is always an exciting point in time to look back and review our progress, and plan for the future.
As we all know, dealing with the unforeseen challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a significant toll on everyone, across the world. The pandemic has changed how we work, learn and interact, as closures and social distancing guidelines have led to a more virtual existence. This has certainly been true at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, which closed in March, and particularly, the Library & Archives (L&A).
