The Museum honored the innovation, engineering, technology and aviation excellence displayed by Orville and Wilbur Wright – two charter members of the International Air & Space Hall of Fame – and engine designer Charles E. Taylor by running an exact replica of the engine they used to pioneer powered flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on Dec. 17, 1903.
The Board and Staff of the San Diego Air & Space Museum are inspired by the generosity of supporters like you who believe in our mission.
The overwhelming popularity of this exciting, fun and interactive experience for the whole family exploring the future of flight will continue to thrill guests of all ages through next year at the San Diego Air & Space Museum!
Grant will help fund the third phase of the Great Explorations project which will continue to strengthen and optimize the Museum’s collection care and management systems.
For Christmas this year, we are highlighting an artifact...a Santa costume...with a rich provenance that gives insight into the culture of Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA).
Proceeds from the sale of these items benefit the Museum (a private nonprofit organization) to carry out our mission and serve the public.
The Swap Meet includes plastic kits, wood kits, Diecast, toys, art, publications, memorabilia, flight gear and more.
