In addition to inducting the “Class of 2026” into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame, this year’s celebration pays tribute to four extraordinary aviation pioneers – Buzz Aldrin, Clay Lacy, Seymour “Si” Robin and Royce Williams – whose groundbreaking achievements shaped modern aerospace.

The Lincoln-Standard became the most cherished of the aircraft in which the “gypsy” barnstormers plied their hazardous trade in the 1920s. The Lincoln-Standard was the plane of choice for revered aviator Charles Lindbergh and his barnstorming partner, Bud Gurney.
A fascinating new online exhibit is part of the San Diego Air & Space Museum’s America at 250 series, which explores the nation’s history through aviation, aerospace, risk, innovation, and the people who built before the outcome was clear.
The 2025–26 school year was a year of exploration, discovery, and connection for the San Diego Air & Space Museum’s Education Department. The Museum welcomed more than 32,000 students and educators through museum programs and outreach experiences, bringing aviation and aerospace instruction to future exploreres throughout San Diego County.
