Three exciting new restaurants have opened in San Diego, The EDGEWATER, San Diego PIER, and the FLIGHT DECK are in Seaport Village on the downtown waterfront.
FLIGHT DECK
The FLIGHT DECK is dedicated to Naval Aviation and its rich history here in San Diego—the birthplace of naval aviation. It’s a unique and exclusive “VIP” speakeasy lounge (21 & over) for all those with a true appreciation for naval aviation.
Our guests are invited to...
Take in the spectacular views of Naval Air Station North Island, the USS Midway Museum, and the sights of the San Diego Bay.
Enjoy the hand-crafted cocktails, select wine list, rotating local brews on tap, posh shared plates, and midnight rations (mid rats—the late-night comfort food of naval carrier personnel).
Join in the camaraderie of sharing a true appreciate for naval aviation.
We extend a special thanks our friends with the San Diego Air & Space Museum, Tailhook Association, and USS Midway Museum for their support and generous donations of artifacts and memorabilia. Among them, come to see the T-34 Mentor aircraft “parts” (wing, cockpit, and fuselage portions), Corsair model plane, VF-54 Bell, USS Midway watertight hatch door, officer’s stateroom locker, and tailhooks.
The FLIGHT DECK is a dedication to naval aviation and LTJG “Butch” Bucciarelli, the co-owner of the San Diego Pier and Edgewater restaurants. It’s our honor to share Butch’s passion for Naval aviation with you, your family, and friends here on DECK.
San Diego PIER
The PIER specialties are dockside comfort foods and festive cocktails…it’s the only over-the-water fresh air casual dining experience in San Diego. And it’s been downtown waterfront icon for forty years. It has an authentic charm and is steeped in history…with a fresh spin on lobster shack tradition and a bottom-line value for everyone.
EDGEWATER
The Edgewater features fresh and locally sourced ingredients -- both foods and drinks -- we’re happy to offer the bounties of our local friend in business…catch of the day seafood, farm fresh ingredients, brews on tap, select wines, and spirits. Our Boardwalk Bar is a place to gather for fun on the water. And our new fresh oyster and chilled seafood menu is making its debut in June.
We, the Rezzonico and Bucciarelli families, (and our restaurants) have been here since the beginning, when the downtown waterfront’s Seaport Village was first developed 41 years ago. And it has been our pleasure to serve our guests and community.
