San Diego Air & Space Museum and People’s Association of Justice Advocates Team Up to Honor National Foster Care Month Through “Let’s Fly” Agreement

For the first time the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park has partnered with former foster youth and leading national advocate on foster care reform Shane Harris’s People’s Association of Justice Advocates to provide free entry and tours into one of Balboa Park’s most historic museums in honor of National Foster Care Month through a groundbreaking “Let’s Fly” agreement.

The “Let’s Fly” agreement between the People’s Association of Justice Advocates and the San Diego Air & Space Museum allows foster families to gain free entry to the Museum between May 19 and June 9, 2025. The agreement also seeks to educate foster youth about another career that could provide a good living and doesn’t necessarily mean that someone has to go to college.

Harris is working hard to advocate for foster youth to have more opportunities presented to them than just college. The agreement between the two will launch a historic first for the Museum and will hopefully help more foster youths become interested into careers in aviation.
