Students like Rafael spent part of their summer learning about rockets, engineering, and space exploration at the Museum's Space Scouts Summer Camp. When asked what he enjoyed most, Rafael didn't hesitate: launching aqua rockets. "They went higher than the building!" Looking beyond fifth grade, Rafael has his sights set on an exciting future as an engineer and astronaut at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, following in the footsteps of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin by traveling to the Moon, and one day, Mars.

Many of the young learners we serve come from underserved communities with limited access to STEM opportunities. Each year, the Museum provides camp scholarships that open the door to hands-on learning, discovery, and inspiration. Your legacy gift helps ensure that young adventurers like Rafael continue their journey toward success!
