The San Diego Air & Space Museum offers families a unique way to celebrate birthdays through its Super Nova Birthday Package, combining hands-on learning with a fun and well-organized out-of-this-world experience in Balboa Park. Designed to be both engaging for children and convenient for parents, this unique birthday celebration takes place within the museum and includes admission for up to 40 guests, allowing families to enjoy the exhibits as part of the celebration.

Each Super Nova Birthday includes three hours of dedicated party space from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., supported by an expertly trained birthday party facilitator who manages the schedule and activities. Children begin with a welcome activity and then participate in one hands-on STEM experiences, such as Alka-Seltzer Rockets, Foam and Balsa Gliders, and Rovers. For younger guests ages 3–5, age-appropriate space or flight stations ensure all participants remain engaged and included.

A guided museum exploration is heightens the experience, allowing children the opportunity to explore aviation and space exhibits in interactive and approachable ways.
