Annual Pumpkin Chuckin’ Returns to the San Diego Air & Space Museum

back to articles

The Annual Pumpkin Chuckin’ returned to the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park in style on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Guests enjoyed some good old fashioned -- and kind-of messy-- fun during the annual Halloween-themed celebration in Balboa Park. They wore their favorite costumes as they construct catapults to launch candy pumpkins. They attempted to land their pumpkins safely and used our 3D pens to make creepy sculptures. They even drove our new robot ghouls!

In one of our favorite annual traditions, we performed our famous pumpkin drop – with parachutes, and without – from the roof of the Museum during our “scientific exploration.”

Pumpkin Chuckin’ was included with admission to the Museum. As a reminder, October is our Kid’s Free Month, so up to two kids under the age of 12 get in free with one adult admission.
