Thomas Sudberry is the founder and chairman of the board, Sudberry Properties, specializing in urban retail, community and town center development, with an emphasis on mixed use and master planned communities. Sudberry Properties has developed or is in the process of developing approximately 10 million square feet of retail, office, apartment and industrial projects, including the master planned community of Civita in Mission Valley. Prior to establishing his own company, Mr. Sudberry spent seven years with Coldwell Banker Commercial Brokerage Company in San Diego. Earlier, he served for five years as a naval aviator, with two Vietnam combat cruises aboard the USS Constitution. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University, with a minor in electrical engineering, and a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University. He is also a graduate of the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, AMD Executive Program. Mr. Sudberry is active in the San Diego community, serving on a number of non-profit organization and foundation advisory boards, as well as with the Regional Chamber of Commerce.
