Evelyn Ramseier is the former chief pilot of aircraft systems for General Atomics Aeronautical Systems in San Diego. She began her flying lessons at 15, receiving her private pilot’s license at age 20. She now has over 21 years of flying experience, with over 16,000 hours of flight time. Over 14,000 of those are as a multi-engine pilot in command. She was an airline transport pilot at SkyWest Airlines for sixteen years, where she flew the EMB-120 and CRJ-200/700/900. Her aviation background also includes experience as a flight line manager, a flight operations manager, and flight instructor. Ms. Ramseier is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, with a BA degree in literature, emphasis in writing. She is also a graduate of the Cuyamaca College science program in Aeronautics-Flight Operations. Of particular note, she has flown a Piper J3 Cub across the nation several times. She is a member of the Ninety-Nines, among other flying organizations.
