A San Diego native, Dylan Matzinger is currently the executive director for business development at ICON Clinical Research. ICON is a global provider of outsourced drug development services for biopharma, medical device, government, biosimilar and generic drug organizations. Formed in 1990, ICON now employs over 13,000 in 38 countries. In his current position he is responsible for leading a cross-functional business development team, developing initiatives leading to year-on-year company growth. Mr. Matzinger joined ICON in 2013, at that time serving as director, global business development. Before joining IKON, Mr. Matzinger worked at IQVIA, where he held positions in both business development and business operations. Earlier, he also worked at the Duke Clinical Research Institute. An active outdoorsman, Mr.  Matzinger has had a life-long interest in flight, and is currently pursuing a private pilot’s license. He is particularly interested in providing air and space education for future generations. He holds a Bachelor of International Relations degree from Connecticut College, with a focus on Southeast Asia.
