The San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park seeks a Bus Driver to join our team. The Bus Driver will drive the STEM Educator in the Museum’s mobile classroom to various locations in San Diego County. The ideal candidate would also assist the Educator at each site.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive Museum educator (no students) in 36-foot bus to/from various locations in San Diego County
• Safely operate the bus in accordance with all state laws and regulations
• Perform bus inspections before and after each route
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
• Attend safety trainings as required and maintain required licenses
• Potentially assist with mobile classroom instruction at each site

Required Qualifications

• California Class B license with air brakes endorsement
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years
• At least three years of experience driving a vehicle

Employment Requirements

• Pre-employment drug screening and background check
• California Department of Justice fingerprinting clearance
• Additional clearances may be necessary to comply with grant requirements
• The Museum is a nonsmoking, drug-free workplace.

Compensation
$20-24 per hour
