National Business Aviation Association (NBAA)
In the more than 65 years since its founding, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has grown from 19 member companies to more than 9,000 - both advocating and defending the interests of business aviation across the world. As a reliable voice for business aircraft operators, the NBAA has achieved improvements in safety, services, efficiency and access while working to globally standardize policy and best practices. The NBAA mission is to foster an environment that allows business aviation to thrive throughout the world. Since its inception, NBAA has played a critical role in the growth and success of the business aviation industry. NBAA member companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion, and employ more than 19 million people. The annual NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world’s largest display of civil aviation products and services. Edward M. Bolen, NBAA president and CEO, accepted on behalf of the organization. He was named NBAA president and CEO in 2004, and was formerly president and CEO of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, which he had joined in 1995 as senior vice president and general counsel. In 2000, President Clinton named Bolen the Chairman of Management Advisory Committee to the Federal Aviation Administration, serving in this capacity for four years.
Inducted in 2013.
