Corporate Angel Network

back to honorees

Based in White Plains, New York, Corporate Angel Network was founded by three aviation-minded business people, each with tragic cancer stories in their family backgrounds. Knowing that many corporate aircraft flew, at times, with empty seats, the three pursued the idea that major corporations might be open to accepting cancer patients as “ride-alongs” in company aircraft, on a space-available basis. Now the only public aviation charity whose sole mission is to provide transportation to treatment destinations for cancer patients of all ages, using empty seats on corporate business aircraft. Bone marrow and stem cell donors and recipients of all ages are also eligible. Approximately 500 corporations participate, and the Network provides flights for an average of 200 cancer patients a month. Since its founding, Corporate Angel Network has coordinated more than 52,000 flights. In 2016, Corporate Angel Network completed its 50,000th mission of mercy.
