The Jennings Kelly Scarborough Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 by Mary Scarborough in honor of her late husband and his love of flight, as both a military and long-time commercial pilot. The scholarship is reserved for and awarded to applicants who have demonstrated a strong desire to pursue a career in aviation, particularly those who have or will be pursuing a pilot's license, through either civilian or military opportunities. Since 2014, six scholarships have been awarded, totaling $14,5000.
Eligibility Factors and Limitations: Graduating seniors of San Diego County high schools who will be attending a four year college.
Basis of Selection:
Application Procedure: Interested students can either write directly to the San Diego Air & Space Museum (Attn. Library & Archives) requesting an application for scholarship or download the application. Completed applications must then be sent directly to the Museum at the address listed above, and postmarked no later than April 1. Eligible applicants will be interviewed.
