Thomas Parker Emery - a local community college art instructor, mural painter, designer, and sculptor - was commissioned to restore the March of Transportation murals painted by Juan Larrinaga in the Ford Building.

Thomas Sefton (1917-2006) a World War II veteran, assigned to troop carrier work in the Mediterranean. Honorably discharged in July 1946, he then worked at the San Diego Trust and Savings, eventually as President.
The collection contains material related to the career of flight attendant Trudy Smith (1947-2020). It includes material related the crash of Eastern Airlines Flight #401, of which she was a surviving crew member. It also contains papers of Trudy Smith’s later career as a safety consultant.
