The Museum will be closing early on November 8th for our International Hall of Fame Celebration. Final admission will be at 2:30pm with the Museum closing at 3pm.
Roy Standefer, born in Lubbock, Texas in 1924, was enlisted in the U.S. Navy in December 1941, and was released in December, 1945. He was a Grumman Aerospace engineer in Bethpage, New York and White Sands, New Mexico, from 1960 to 1972. He was also the assistant Program Director for S/CAT (Spacecraft Assembly and Test).
Mr. Standefer passed away on August 17, 1984
