Leslie Grimes (Leslie Grimes Moser) was a flight attendant for Capital International Airways in the late 1960s to early 1970s. Capital International Airways was a charter airlines established in 1946 and operated until 1982. During the late 1960’s and early 1970’s Capital International Airways provided military charters to and from Vietnam and other Asian cities and Hawaii. Ms. Grimes flew many of these routes. During the period that Ms. Grimes flew, the airline used Douglas DC-8 jet aircraft, one of which crashed on takeoff from Anchorage, Alaska on its way to Vietnam. As of 2006, Ms. Grimes lived in Santa Ana, California.
