The Museum will be closing early on May 31st for our Legacy of Apollo event. Final admission will be at 2:30pm with the Museum closing at 3pm.
This collection contains two boxes of various aeronautical and road maps. Most of the maps cover San Diego, Los Angeles, and Southern California deserts, but the collection also contains maps of Las Vegas, Alaska, Chicago, Seattle, the North Pacific Ocean, Arizona, the Far East, and one world map. The maps were produced by U.S. Government corporations as well as oil companies and various transportation companies. The maps are all formatted with the Lambert Conformal Conic Projection. The collection contains maps from 1934 to 2001, all donated by various donors.
