The San Diego Air & Space Museum is remembering Apollo 10 Commander Tom Stafford, one of just 24 men to ever fly to the Moon. Stafford passed away on March 18, 2024 at the age of 93.
San Diego Air & Space Museum is the only aviation-themed institution from California on the list.
The San Diego Air & Space Museum and Balboa Park were recently featured as one of the Top 11 Things To Do in San Diego.
The San Diego Air & Space Museum is remembering internationally known Apollo 8 Commander Frank Borman, whose distinguished aviation career as a fighter pilot, test pilot, instructor and NASA astronaut earned him an honored spot the prestigious International Air & Space Hall of Fame. Borman passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 95.
“Aerofest” features a wide range and family friendly opportunities for aviation-related fun, including kids activities like riding in plane-themed paddle cars, tours from our knowledgeable docents, open cockpits to sit in, and up close looks at our latest world class restoration projects.
