BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! STEM Saturdays in the Park!
The San Diego Air & Space Museum’s popular STEM Saturday Kits are re-launching this Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Unplug for a day of Family Fun in the newly-renovated Palisades in Balboa Park with ample space to spread out and enjoy the San Diego sunshine, grab a beverage and a snack from the San Diego Air & Space Museum coffee cart, and pick up a STEM kit from our open gift shop. Saturday’s Space-themed STEM kit contains:
This $40 value is available for purchase for only $22, or the price of one ticket to the Museum. Plus, proceeds from the kits support the Education Department's commitment to providing high-quality STEM programming to underserved students experiencing financial hardship.

What is STEM?
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Can more than one child share a kit?
Of course! However, we do offer a Sibling Add-On in case you would like multiples of some of the items included in the kit. For an additional $8, you will receive another astronaut ice cream, Alka-Seltzer rocket pack, galaxy face mask, and hot chocolate coupon.
Do I need to bring anything?
Only a positive attitude! The goal of STEM Saturdays is to give your family a fun and easy day in the park while also developing critical thinking and problem solving skills, so the kits do not require supplemental materials, just a willingness to try new things and learn from each other.
