The San Diego Air & Space Museum is open for business. During this fast-changing situation, our normal hours of operation will continue as scheduled until further notice.
The safety of our guests and employees is our highest priority. We are monitoring the CDC’s developing recommendations for avoiding and containing the coronavirus. We remain proactive and have put in place well-thought-out precautions, and we continue to be as vigilant and informed as possible. The San Diego Air & Space Museum’s daily operations will continue without disruption, and we will continue to work to keep visitors, guests, staff, volunteers and employees – anyone who walks through our doors – as safe and comfortable as possible.
To help us maintain a healthy environment, our management team has provided our staff with the CDC resources necessary to keep them informed of the latest best practices. We encourage everyone to follow the CDC guidelines to regularly wash their hands, cover coughs and sneezes and to stay home when they are not feeling well.
We have also provided additional resources (hand-washing supplies, tissues, sanitizer stations, sanitizing wipes, etc.) which are readily available throughout the Museum. We are taking an aggressive approach to cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing our entire Museum, including, but not limited to, our displays, floors, surfaces, the Kid’s Aviation Action Hangar, the Zable 3D/4D theater and flight simulators.
More than anything else, the San Diego Air & Space Museum is committed to a sense of calm and normalcy. For more than 50 years we’ve been a community gathering place that brings joy and respite in good times and bad. We play an important role as we lead San Diego in inspiring future generations in their pursuit of excellence in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and innovation. The San Diego Air & Space Museum believes celebrating and preserving aviation and space flight history matters, and our commitment is to continue to make it important to more and more people, in a clean and healthy environment.
