Frank Sarris served as a pilot in the United States Navy during both WWII (Pacific) and the Korean Conflict.
Frank Stetz was born in Iron River, Michigan and served in the US Navy as Chief Boatswain's Mate, retiring after twenty years as Warrant Officer. He later worked in the Graphic Arts department at North Island, NAS San Diego. The photos in this collection were taken by Navy photographers from North Island and saved by Mr. Stetz.
Frank Courtney started his aviation career in 1913, flying in WWI, WWII, serving in commercial and military aviation for decades. His collection contains, ID, passports, and journals from 1922-1971.
Col. Frank Walter Seifert was an aviation pioneer, WWII vet, a member of the team that performed the first aerial refueling in history, and served on the San Diego City Counsel, leading the development of Lindbergh Field.
In 1940, Fred Churchill joined the Ryan School of Aeronautics as Asst Maintenance Supervisor for the Army Air Corps pilot training program. After the war, he worked for Ryan Aeronautical, San Diego, in various capacities until his retirement in 1967.
