This collection includes documents, notes and photos all relating to the crash of the Model 48.
The Convair Collection documents the heritage of Fleet, Consolidated, Stinson, Consolidated Vultee, Convair, and, finally, General Dynamics in San Diego since 1935. The materials include engineering proposals, reports, correspondence, press releases, and many other documents pertaining to the inner workings of this renowned lineage of companies.
The masthead describes the magazine as “a digest of Convair-Liner operation and service published monthly by Convair in the interest of Convair-Liner operators and for the promotion of sales and service.” Articles contain general information (slightly technical) and drawings of various aircraft used at the time, such as the 240, 340, 440, 880, and 990.
This collection documents the history of the Atlas Missile program at Convair/General Dynamics.
This is a one series collection. The collection – composed entirely of Convariety newsletters - is arranged in chronological order starting in 1948 and ending in 1961.
