John J. Montgomery (1858?-1911) was an aviation pioneer and is said to have made the first manned, controlled, heavier than air flights in the United States with his glider.

John Ryland Graves Jr. was a USMC Sergeant during World War II, and later a Consolidated-Vultee-Convair-General Dynamics employee. He was born 10 November 1919 in Richmond, VA and died on 3 June 2017, in Fort Smith, AR.
