April 2020 - Researcher News -

In March 2020 the world changed as non-essential businesses closed to the public to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Overnight, the Museum converted its daily activities into a variety of online and remote activities as staff began working from home. Since the temporary closure, the Museum launched SDASM TV.

August 2019 - Researcher News -

We are excited to provide a summary of our accomplishments for fiscal year 2019 (July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019) for our Library & Archives (L&A) patrons, donors and supporters. Our team has been busy digitizing and uploading collections online, processing new donations and cleaning and improving our collection spaces. We also welcomed a new staff member, Melissa Culbertson.

November 2018 - Researcher News -

We have continued to make significant progress in preserving and adding to the Museum’s collection, and in providing greater online access to the collection for researchers, scholars, educators and students around the world. With four full time staff members and 30 dedicated volunteers, we have managed several important projects and initiatives, and assisted an increased number of outside researchers.

December 2016 - Researcher News -

The past year has been an extremely busy one for the Library & Archives (L&A). The L&A now houses the nation’s largest private nonprofit collection of its type, and we are known throughout the world for our continuing efforts to make this collection accessible for education and research, both on-site and digitally. Ultimately, we strive to make progress in preserving and adding to our collection, and in providing greater online access for researchers, scholars, educators and students.

December 2015 Researcher News -

This year has been an incredible one for our Library & Archives, lled with many important achievements. Because of the support of our donors, and with 7,279 hours of invaluable assistance from our dedicated volunteers. We have made signi cant progress in preserving and adding to our growing collection, and in providing greater online access for researchers, scholars, educators, and students throughout the world. As we move into the next year, we will continue our vigorous e orts to preserve the collection and increase public accessibility.
