EUREKA on display for a limited time only!
San Diego, Calif. – EUREKA! An Interactive History of Science for Children, a new, educational, inspirational and fun STEM-focused special exhibition is now running for a limited time only at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, the Museum announced today.
“EUREKA! An Interactive History of Science for Children aligns perfectly with the Museum’s overall mission to preserve, inspire, educate and celebrate technological advances and how they impact our lives every day,” said Jim Kidrick, President & CEO of the San Diego Air & Space Museum. “Given EUREKA’s focus on innovation and technological advancements throughout history, it is the ideal counterpart to our other new, inspirational special exhibition, SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure. Both exhibits encourage explorers of all ages to dream big in new and fun ways.”
The EUREKA exhibit focuses on six distinct eras of scientific advancements in human history: The Neolithic Era (Prehistory); the Ancient Greek Hellenistic Era (323 BC-31 BC); Ancient Rome (800 BC–500 AD); Renaissance (1300 AD-1600 AD); the Industrial Age (1700-1900 AD); and Modern Information Age. Each section includes specific hands-on inventions related to their time periods.
“Through both of our new exhibits – EUREKA! and SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure – we’ve focused on making the San Diego Air & Space Museum a very interactive and educational experience for all of our guests, from the very young to the still very young at heart,” added Kidrick “When you come here you are going learn a lot and have a good time doing it.”
EUREKA! An Interactive History of Science for Children is on temporary loan to the San Diego Air & Space Museum from the world-famous Artisans of Florence, the Representatives of the Museum of Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, Italy. For more information, visit www.artisansofflorence.com.
