San Diego Air & Space Museum Invades Broadway Pier July 13 and 14
Food truck festival benefitting the Museum’s youth educational programs

San Diego, CA – July 13, 2012 - The San Diego Air & Space Museum is invading the Broadway Pier tonight and tomorrow with a fun food truck event—a portion of the proceeds benefit the Museum’s educational programs. “Invasion of the Pier—Bites, Brews & Bands on the Bay” will have over 14 food trucks in attendance, four live bands and DJ, beer gardens and special VIP area. The 21 and over event has a $6 admission and runs 4pm-11pm both days at 1000 N. Harbor Dr. $1 shuttle rides are available from certain hotels and the convention center.

The San Diego Air & Space Museum is California's official air and space museum and education center. The Museum is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and it was the first aero-themed Museum to be accredited by the American Association of Museums. Now on display, “How Things Fly,” a special exhibition that examines the wonder of flight through four fun and interactive zones. The Museum is located at 2001 Pan American Plaza, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA 92101. The Museum and gift store are open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with admissions until 5:00 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
