The year-long run of SPEED: Science in Motion, the special exhibition exploring the fastest vehicles known to man, is in its final months at the San Diego Air & Space Museum. So if you wanted to see this one-of-a-kind exhibition, now is the time to visit.

Currently on display are some truly unique vehicles, including the American Eagle record setter at 353 miles per hour, a 375 horsepower Chevy Rat Rod Dragster, a Dragonfly 850 CC Inboard Hydroplane, and a Mark 78A Race Motor from Mercury Marine Kiekhaefer.

Another one-of-a kind vehicle in SPEED is the Rose RP4 Air Racer Project, which was designed to fly at the Reno Air Races at speeds in excess of 600 miles per hour. Hanging above the Rose RP4 are two of the Museum’s own Formula One Air Racers which competed at the Reno Air Races.

Rounding out the vehicles currently on display in the special exhibition are a Model T Hot Rod, the B-29 Hot Rod, an iconic 1950 Cadillac 61 which competed at Le Mans, and a rare street-legal Formula One Race Car.

Of course, SPEED still offers visitors the opportunity to Compete in the F355 Challenge in a Ferrari, race side-by-side with your friends on a MotoGP motorcycle, or set a personal speed record in a Scitech pedal car.

SPEED: Science in Motion runs through 2018. The exhibition is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Tickets are available at the admissions desk.
