2018 Space Day Celebration
Saturday, May 19, 2018, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The San Diego Air & Space Museum will host its 15th Annual Space Day celebration on Saturday May 19 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Space Day features demonstrations, giveaways, and hands-on activities with local and national space experts.

Tons of great activities including:

  • Touch a meteorite
  • Talk to space experts
  • Build & fly a paper rocket
  • Design your own space patch
  • Giveaways
  • Fun for all ages!

Visitors will also have the chance to meet Woody Spring, an astronaut who flew on the Space Shuttle and walked in space!

Kids 17 and under are FREE with a paid adult admission. Coupons for $3 off general adult admission are available. Speed: Science in Motion and simulators are an extra cost.

As an extra bonus, the Museum’s space galleries are open for viewing throughout the event, including a flown Apollo spacecraft, moon rocks, and space suits!

Invited Presenters include NASA, JPL, Sally Ride Science, SETI, Lockheed Martin, El Trompo Museo Interactivo, San Diego Astronomy Association, UCSD Near-Space Balloon, General Atomics, The Planetary Society, Geek Girl, FIRST Robotics and many others.
