General Atomics RQ-1K Predator

The Predator unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), built by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems in San Diego, was used by the United States Air Force and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for aerial reconnaissance and observation. The Team unit itself is actually composed of four aircraft, a ground control station, a satellite communications terminal, and 55 personnel. When the Predator is in flight, it is controlled by either ground crew or satellite. The equipment in the turret under the nose provides live video, still images, and radar imagery. Ours is the eighteenth Predator built, and was used during the civil war in former Yugoslavia in 1999 and 2000.
