The Library & Archives at the San Diego Air & Space Museum recently debuted a special online exhibit commemorating the end of First World War.
The armistice ending World War I was signed on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – Nov. 11, 1918, and the 100th Anniversary is being remembered around the world on Nov. 11, 2018.
The Museum’s online exhibit is highlighted in six sections: Introduction, Aviation in the First World War; 1914: A War to End All Wars; 1915: Emerging Technologies; 1916: A Bloodbath; 1918: America Helps Turn the Tide; and Epilogue: All Wars Ended.
The online exhibit includes expert descriptions and rare photos, both from the San Diego Air & Space Museum’s floor as well as from the Museum’s online archives.
