Paper Airplane Festival & Fly Your Ride!...

Paper Airplane Festival & Fly Your Ride! Finals

Paper Airplane Festival & Fly Your Ride! Finals

Our annual Paper Airplane Festival is part of Balboa Park’s Science Family Day on Saturday, March 16 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM! Learn how exactly a paper airplane stays in the air the best way possible --- by making them! If you’re feeling bold, you can enter into one of our many competitions, which include farthest flight distance, longest air time, and even stunts! Stick around for the group launch at 2:30 PM!

Our first annual Fly Your Ride! Competition finals are also being held at the San Diego Air & Space Museum from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM during Science Family Day! Middle school and high school teams from all over San Diego County have been working tirelessly to design and build flying cars. Will they be able to jump over an ever increasing gap after going down a ramp…and will they survive? Find out with us!

Want to see more flying cars? Caravella Aerospace will be at the museum on March 16 displaying their roadable aircraft! The CaraVellair is a real-life transformer --- it drives, transforms, and flies! For more information, visit their website.
